Dear Firewise Neighbors,

Hope you are all well.

There are two topics below: the Firewise Application and the Non-Profit Application. Firewise Application: There are two major steps left to complete the Firewise Application: the tabulation of the results of the Wildfire Risk Assessment, and the creation of a Multiple Year Action Plan. Vince Hunt is collecting the surveys from the home inspections for the Wildfire Risk Assessment. This applies to the six homes that were inspected and anyone else that would like to complete a self assessment for their property. Please send an email to elcamfirewise@gmail.com if you are interested in filling out a survey for your property. If you are planning a neighborhood meeting in July, it would be great to discuss the action plan. Let me know if you need more time to discuss. Your feedback and time is greatly appreciated. I will be sending out a separate email to each of the neighborhoods in the next few days. You will notice there are a few TBD positions listed on the first page of the Action Plan. If you are interested in helping with organizing a meeting at the Community Center, Fundraising, or serving as Treasurer, please let me know. If you think that there are tasks that have not been included, that you would like to help out with, let us know! Many hands make light the work. I know that a few of you have volunteered in the past few months to help out, and I am now ready to put you to work! When the Wildfire Risk Assessment is tabulated and the multiple year action plan is finalized, we will be ready to fill out the Firewise application. Non-Profit Application My husband Jesse Markham has begun the process to apply for non-profit status. Many grants require a non-profit structure to apply. If this turns out to be an unnecessary step, then we can cancel the non-profit status at any time. If any one wants to assist Jesse, please reply to this email.
