Hello friends and neighbors, this is Melissa Radowicz. I am pleased to introduce myself as the new President of the El Caminito Firewise Community Board.

Dianna and the current Board have done an incredible job in taking the steps necessary to obtain the Firewise Certification for our neighborhood. It was a huge undertaking for them and I applaud them. We are currently in GOOD STANDING as a Firewise Community through 2023. Look out for our official signage coming soon to the bottom of El Cam!

In this email, I am including a link to the El Cam Firewise website. I'm sure you already have this information, however I suggest bookmarking this webpage. It is a wealth of information and the perfect place to start when looking for fire preparedness guidelines, homeowners insurance options and our Multi-year action plan. Take a peek at the 0-5 zone rule: Defensible Space Zones while planning your spring home hardening.

It would be great to offer a roadside chipping day for a neighborhood. We need at least 20 homeowners signed up to qualify so please include your information here if you are interested: Chipping Days!

I will be reaching out with updates from the board as well as our next community event, in the meantime, feel free to contact me with any questions or if you would like to help your neighborhood stay Firewise.

All my best, Melissa Radowicz
