Free Chipping

Monterey County has earned a grant to bring free chipping to communities like us.  If you are interested in getting a chipping day scheduled for our El Caminito Neighborhood, please SIGN UP FOR FREE CHIPPING. We need at least 20-30 households to be considered.  The more people that sign up, the sooner we can get a date on the Calendar.

Defensible Space and the new 0-5 Zone

Just a reminder, in addition to the 0-30 and 30-100 foot defensible space zones, starting January 2024 there will be a new 0-5 foot zone required by law for us to maintain surrounding our homes.  Education about the Defensible Space Guidelines is a primary purpose of Firewise Communities.
